party, teach workshops, social dance & share his passion with us!

Arti Zandian - Adelaide's World Champion here in Adelaide September 2nd

Adelaide!!! Our very own World Champion, Artia Zandian, is coming home and can't wait to dance with you all!

That's right, Salsa Connection is bringing Arti to Adelaide for a weekend of nothing but pure latin dance, packed full of energy! Come and join us for one of Adelaide's premier latin events of the YEAR, with smooth social dancing, amazing shows, and above all, beautiful music all night long to enjoy with your friends.

When: Saturday September 2nd 2017.
Where: Fullarton Park Community Centre, 411 Fullarton Road.
Time: Doors open at 7pm and we party till late!
Cost: Tickets only $20 (although party ticket is FREE when you purchase the workshop package)!!

Drinks available at the bar, and feel free to BYO nibbles. Why not organise a table of friends so you can make the most of the evening?

Salsa Connection is beyond excited to announce this event... Finding time in this international superstar's calendar is a very big coup and Adelaide is very lucky to have him somewhere between China, the Gold Coast and Europe!!!

11AM - Bachata: A fusion of bachata styles including Sensual and Dominican bachata, all designed to give you sexy, fun moves that will be sure to impress!

12PM -Cha-Cha/Boogaloo Shines: Artia will cover the musicality of cha-cha, including funky boogaloo style moves. Haven't heard of boogaloo before? There's no doubt you've already danced to the music, this is all about giving your moves some more soul...

1.00 - 1.30PM - LUNCH BREAK

1.30PM - How to Make Your Partner Smile: Engaging moves to connect with your partner and have fun with them on the social dancefloor... What's not to like??

2.30PM - Salsa/Mambo Turnpatterns and Partnerwork: Artia will bring his flair to this workshop, giving you some "crazy moves man!" balanced with all the secrets to his smooth and flawless execution his known for. And ladies, you can't miss this! This workshop will challenge your following and have you doing moves you didn't know existed.


 •  All single workshops are $25 each.

 •  Buy THREE workshops and save! Three workshops are $65 ($10 saving).

 •  Buy a FULL PASS and save more! The full pass is only $80, which includes access to all four workshops and the party that night (a saving of a $40!!).

**Note: there is a $0.30 booking fee for each ticket purchased through the Trybooking site.


Mambo/NY Style Salsa - Level 1
Mondays @ 6.30pm - Beginners & On1-On2 Conversion
This class is suitable for absolute beginners (those who have never done salsa/mambo before) and for people who have danced salsa On1 before but would like to learn how to "convert" their salsa to On2/NY Style.

Mambo/NY Style Salsa- Level 2

Mondays @ 7.40pm - Improvers / Advanced On1-On2 Conversion
This class is suitable for dancers who have already completed the Level 1 course and are dancing at an advanced beginner level in On2, or an intermediate level On1 and are already familiar with On2 basic footwork and turn-patterns.

Mambo/NY Style Salsa - Level 3
Mondays @ 8.50pm - Intermediate On2/Mambo
This class is suitable for dancers who have completed both rotations of the Level 2 syllabus and are dancing at an intermediate level in On2, or if you are an advanced On1 dancer and already dancing On2/mambo socially.

This class has a stronger focus on shines (solo footwork) and more complicated turn-patterns, and may include variations through other styles such as cha-cha and pachanga (all ancestors of mambo as we know it today!).
